![]() Friday-Sunday, April 25-27; Friday-Sunday, May 2-4 Eating At The New Orleans Jazz And Heritage Festival 2008 Here's our annual list of all the food being served at the Jazz and Heritage Festival this year at the Fair Grounds. I have annotated it with my recommendations, based on the experience of past years. (Of course, this reflects my own taste, and your mileage may vary.) Here's the key: Excellent. Try it if it appeals to you![]() Outstanding. Try it even if it doesn't appeal to you![]() ![]() Essential Jazz Fest Dish. Should not be missed New items this year are in red. Vegetarian items are green. Some of the vendors are famous for their food outside the Festival; I noted those. Most Jazz Festival vendors are caterers; some only exist for the Jazz Festival. That should not be considered a minus. The red beans and rice practically since the Festival began have been served by the same people, who I do not think have any other food operations the rest of the year. But the beans are always delicious! Two other pieces of advice: Don't stuff yourself. And bring plenty of money. A printer-friendly map of the Fair Grounds showing where everything is can be had by clicking here. The Jazz festival's official website is at http://www.nojazzfest.com.
