Dining here is at the very least a major meal, and often an event. Chef-owner Duke LoCicero emphasizes both Sicilian and Creole culinary traditions, but doesn't hesitate to employ tastes from anywhere else in the world. All this is rendered with polish, interesting local ingredients, and fresh, original touches. The best strategy is to let the chef feed you an assortment of small portions of the day's specials for about $50. Regardless of which way you order, you will almost certainly get too much to eat.

The dining room straddles two old townhouses and what was once their shared  courtyard with a  noisy, uniquely New Orleans environment. On Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, talented singers stroll about performing opera and Broadway songs. Last year, the chef renovated the original dining room--which never was especially good for dining anyway--into a comfortable lounge.
