Legendary football coach Don Shula and his son Dave started this chain of premium steakhouses in Miami, and it was preparing to open here in New Orleans when the hurricane showed up. That slowed it down a bit, but didn't prevent its opening in the space that was former Midi. The room now has the masculine, sleek lines we associate with a major steak experience.

That begins with a tableside display of the beef, accompanied by a description from the server to the effect that this is Certified Angus Beef, a trademark held by a consortium of beef producers who meet a set of standards for breed, grazing location, and age of their cows. They feel these exceed those of the USDA. In addition to steaks, they have the full complement of chops, lobsters, and all the traditional steakhouse appetizers and side dishes.

Private dining room big enough for 55 people is available for parties and meetings.
