Tony Moran and his family were in the business of running first-class Italian and Creole restaurants for over fifty years. Some of the dishes they created are legendary, and they live on at Tony Moran's now. The restaurant is itself in a historic building: the Absinthe House, an antique bar with the restaurant overlooking Bourbon Street from just above. The cooking uses family recipes along with fresh local seafood to create a unique style of Italian cookery you will find nowhere else in the world.

A Note To Our Friends
In the wake of the catastrophe hurricanes Katrina and Rita wreaked on our precious city, we at the Old Absinthe House, Tony Moran's, Jean Lafiite Bistro and Mango Mango Bars would like to thank you for visiting us. We consider our patrons as guests and our goal is to make our guests feel at home. If there is anything you  need, please ask your server or for a manager. Many things were washed away by nature, but nothing can take away the spirit of New Orleans. Thank you again and we will count the days until your return.
