Oysters are back, lobsters never went away, and crabmeat and shrimp are incredible right. 2. Martin Wine Cellar Deli. 714 Elmeer. 896-7350. The Deli isn't running its full compliment of platters, but the sandwiches and salads are all up to speed. 3. Fury's. 724 Martin Behrman Ave. 834-5646. The last remnant of West End (John Fury used to own the Bounty) is frying seafood to order (like always) and serving a great gumbo and better fried chicken. 4. Zea Rotisserie and Brewpub. 4450 Veterans Blvd. (Clearview Mall). 780-9090. Eclectic menu, a great rotisserie, and a fun place to connect with friends.. 5. Zydeque. 808 Iberville. 565-5520. Barbecue from the owners of GW Fins. One of the contenders for best barbcue. 6. Galley Seafood. 2535 Metairie Rd.. 832-0955. One of the best casual seafood houses in town, with great boiled stuff. 7. Mother's. 401 Poydras. 523-9656. It did not burn down, as you may have thought from the TV pictures. The whole menu is back, poor boys to platters. 8. Crabby Jack's. 428 Jefferson Hwy. 833-2722. Sandwiches. Platters. Seafood. The casual arm of Jacques-Imo's. The duck poor boy is especially noteworthy. 9. Mo's Pizza. 1112 Avenue H. 341-9650. New York pizza, a a huge crowd. 10.
