It's in the space formerly occupied by the original location of Semolina, on Tyler at 21st Streets. (That's the spot where you turn to stay on LA 21, hence the name.) The owners are Grant and Melissa Wallace. He's the chef; she's the dining room manager. I encountered them some months ago at a charity auction. The menu looks good and mostly famliar, with Creole flavors in a contemporary vein. Now all they have to do is overcome the forgettability of that name. Restaurants using numbers instead of words for their names have a difficult task in getting customers to remember them. Even their listing looks as if something has been left out: 21 W. 100 Tyler Square . 985-960-7056. © 2007 Tom Fitzmorris. All rights reserved. news@nomenu.com |
