Twenty-Fourth Anniversary Of The Restaurant
Andrea's Toasts Itself With A Wine Dinner This Thursday

Chef Andrea Apuzzo never lets an anniversary go by unnoticed. His celebration of the opening of Andrea's in 1985 brungs us an underpriced wine dinner this Thursday, January 22. He's also donating a part of the profits from this week's lunches and dinners to Children's Hospital.

But that dinner looks good enough that I think I'll grab a table for myself and anyone who wants to join me. The $65 is price (inclusive of tax and tip) is a good ten dollars below those of comparable dinners. (Restaurant prices across town continue to move backward, courtesy of fear.)

The wines are provided by Republic Beverage. Things start at seven.

Reception Party:
Assorted Hot and Cold Hors d’Oeuvres
Wine: Lunetta Prosecco

At Table:
Spedino di Scampi and Scallops
Skewers of shrimp and sea scallops with leeks and bacon
Wine: Torlasco Pinot Grigio

Risotto con Funghi Trifolati
Porcini, morel and chanterelle mushrooms with arborio rice and Reggiano cheese

Bistecca Alla Pizzaiola
Sirloin strip steak with spicy sauce of tomato, peppers and herbs
Wine: Travaglina Gattinara

Torta Chocolate Al Tartufo
Wine: Zoni Buccarosa
