For its spring promotion, Ralph Brennan's Italian restaurant Bacco has a curious double-getcha. You can have three appetizers from its menu and a glass of wine from its featured list. Or you can have three glasses of wine with one appetizer for the same price. The former sounds like a great light dinner. The latter seems to be the beginning of a better, bigger one. Or a smaller, wetter one. Or something like that. They have this every night, in addition to the regular a la carte menu. The special appetizer collection at Bacco has its appeal. Here are some items from it: BBQ shrimp, seared yellowfin tuna, Louisiana crawfish gnocchi, black truffle fettuccine, corn and crab bisque, oyster artichoke gratin, steamed mussels, shrimp ravigote, spinach ravioli, soups and salads. Bacco serves dinner every night. (310 Chartres, 522-2426.) © 2006 Tom Fitzmorris. All rights reserved. news@nomenu.com |
