Beau Chene Country Club, Crozier's Chef

The major golf community in Mandeville, Beau Chene is a private club, but its facilities are available to the public for catered events. People with upcoming weddings or other big events but no place left to have them are welcome. It's a very nice place, but more important is the presence of Chef Robert Krol, the last active remnant of the old Crozier's. He was Chef Gerard Crozier's chef de cuisine for many years, and cooked most of the food at Crozier's in its last five or six years. I've had dinner at the club as a  guest on a few occasions, and although it's not Crozier's menu the food is at the same level. I wish Krol had a public restaurant. But here he is, if you're looking for a guy like him and a facility like that.
