Greek Is 100 Percent Back
The award for the first restaurant category with complete participation of all its restaurants in the post-storm dining community goes to the Greeks. Acropolis Cuisine (3841 Veterans Blvd., 888-9046) opened a few days ago with its big menu of Greek classics, pizza, and pasta. The best food there is what shows up on the blackboard, with its four-course dinners at giveaway prices. Very consistent and good. Meanwhile, the other Greek restaurant hereabouts (there are only two), Mr. Gyros, has been open for some time now. It recently expanded its menu quite a bit. It always was the place to go for Greek-style salads and moussaka. Lots of grilled meats and seafoods, too. They're at 3620 N Causeway Blvd. (corner of West Esplanade), 833-9228.
