and are serving about seventy-five percent of our menu. All of the
major seafood dishes are being served as well as raw and fried oysters.
We are open Tuesdays through Saturdays 11 a.m. till 3 p.m. and Friday
and Saturday evenings from 5:30 till 9 p.m. Crowds have been fantastic,
tons of our regulars have been coming in over and over with a few
tourists scattered about. As our employee situation improves, our hours
will. We would have been open a lot sooner had it not been for the heck
of a time we had dealing with my uncle's estate as far as transferring
the licenses into our names. City Hall is even slower than it was
before. So. . . away we go!
Casamento's is coming up on its one hundredth birthday as a great oyster bar on Magazine just off Napoleon. Its Newcomb Pottery tiles make the dining room one of the most distinctive in town. The oysters are always great, as are the fresh-cut French fries. Great to have them back! 4330 Magazine. 895-9761. © 2005 Tom Fitzmorris. All rights reserved. news@nomenu.com |
