By Tom Fitzmorris Originally published January 9, 2009 At La Cote Brasserie; To Benefit Chef's Five-Year Old Son All-Star Chef Wine Dinner Tonight The son of Ben Serrat, the Executive Sous Chef at LaCote Brasserie, has inspired seven top-class chefs to cook a fantastic dinner tonight. Ben Jr., five years old, has an inoperable brain cancer, and his family needs help with the medical bills. The proceeds of the dinner will go to that effort, as well as to fund cancer research. Wine will be provided throughout the night by Estancia, Robert Mondavi, Simi, and Mount Veeder wineries. The price is $100. The menu speaks for itself, I think you'll agree.
