Herbsaint's Donald Link Opens Cochon

Chef Donald Link, co-owner and chef of the excellent Herbsaint, has opened a new restaurant in the Warehouse District, near the D-Day Museum. Cochon bills itself as a country-style restaurant with Cajun and Southern food, neither of which is especially well represented in our Creole-dominated town. Prices are modest and the style rustic, but with more of an edge of sophistication than, say, a barbecue joint. (The restaurant's logo suggests that it just might be a BBQ place.) Here's the menu they opened with a few days ago:

Louisiana Crawfish Pie $8
Eggplant & Shrimp Dressing $7
Marinated Mushrooms With Fried Eggplant $7
