They just announced the 2006 winners, and the chefs will be honored at a dinner at Cafe Reconcile this Monday, August 21. It's a dinner prepared by the honorees (those chefs just never stop working, do they?). The ticket is $100, with the entire amount going to Cafe Reconcile, whose program of training for at-risk young people interested in creating a career for themselves in the hospitality business has been a fantastic success over the last decade. (Not to mention that Cafe Reconcile has become one of the best places to have lunch downtown.)
