By Tom Fitzmorris Originally published February 23, 2007 The Return Of A Lost Restaurant A couple of weeks ago we had an item in this space telling that only six restaurants have closed after reopening (or just plain opening) after the storm. That was true, but here's a twist: one of those has since re-reopened. The Dragon House is a Chinese restaurant that began in Bucktown. It moved to Transcontinental Drive just lakeside of Veterans before the hurricane. It reopened after the storm, but then closed again. Some months ago, it came back to life, with the same owners and same location as before. It's always been a pretty good place, and it's nice to see them back again. And even nicer that only five restaurants have closed in the post-Katrina era. Dragon House. 3320 Transcontinental, 888-6791. © 2007 Tom Fitzmorris. All rights reserved. news@nomenu.com |
