By Tom Fitzmorris Originally published June 12, 2006 Click here for the current edition Equator Reopens. When it opened a few years ago Equator caught the attention of lover of Thai cuisine. Not just because it was delicious--although that was certainly reason enough. But because the remade Ground Pat'i was a beautiful, sleek place in which to dine. It has been closed most of the months since the hurricane, to the chagrin of more than a few people who wrote asking me about it. But they're back now, complete with a menu that not only covers the range of Thai cooking, but works in more than a few Japanese and other Asian cooking here and there as well. Equator serves lunch and dinner seven days, and stays open straight through from one to the other. 2920 Severn Ave., 888-4772. © 2006 Tom Fitzmorris. All rights reserved. news@nomenu.com |
