And an unlikely place for a dinner built around Jordan, a Sonoma winery best known for its big Cabernets. At least one of those will be paired with a fish dish, so we'll test my dictum that all food goes with all wines. Heirloom Beet and Mache Salad Whipped orange blossom mascarpone, with toasted pecans and tarragon oil. 2005 Jordan Chardonnay Alaskan Sable Fish With vanilla lobster jus, braised endive, fresh gnocchi and crispy leeks 2003 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon Seared Duck Breast and Leg Confit Sweet potatoes, balsamic strawberries , veal jus and boudin 2001 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon. Nieman Ranch Lamb Loin Chop with potato-garlic bread pudding, a wild mushroom demiglace and pepper jelly 999 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon Frozen Georgia Peach Souffle With raspberry sauce Jordan 1983 Riviere Russe Late-Harvest The price, inclusive of tax and tip, is $180.
