Jack Leonardi's cult restaurant, which has moved into first place in the Funky And Therefore Real New Orleans category since the death of Uglesich's, drew interest not only from locals, but from readers of this newsletter around the country. I talked to Jack just as the restaurant reopened Thursday afternoon at five, and from the background noise alone it was clear that the rabid following is back. 8324 Oak, 861-0886.
