By Tom Fitzmorris Originally published May 30, 2007 Dine For The Louisiana Philharmonic Today At Table One Table One, whose kitchen is in the charge of the estimable Chef Gerard Maras, continues its series of benefit days for various New Orleans charities and arts institutions tomorrow night. If you dine there any time tomorrow (and they stay open straight through from lunch through dinner), twenty percent of what you spend will be given to the Louisiana Philharmonic, our city's long-running classical music orchestra. This does't cost you another nickel above what you'd spend at Table One on any other day. Unless, of course, you take the opportunity to have a little more lavish repast than ordinary in celebration of music in New Orleans. The food is certainly good. Gerard Maras fronted the kitchens of restaurants from Mr. B's to Ralph's on the Park before turning up here after the hurricane. He's also a farmer of first-class organic vegetables, many of which turn up on the menu. I have a review of Table One in our archives here. Reservations would probably be a good idea, since these benefit evenings often fill up. Table One. 2800 Magazine. 872-9035. © 2007 Tom Fitzmorris. All rights reserved. news@nomenu.com |
