The restaurants participating are just the ones you'd expect to show up for such an important person in the annals of the New Orleans food scene. To name a few: John Besh's restaurants, Dickie Brennan's (he's chairman of the board of SoFAB), Galatoire's, Herbsaint, Bayona, Bacco, Mr. B's, and the Upperline. All with food and drink. Music too, with the obvious choice of performers: Leah Chase, the daughter of the chef, who handles jazz singing with aplomb. The patron party begins at six; those tickets cost $250. The rest of the event commences at seven ($125). Tickets can be had at the door, or obtained online . The Southern Food and Beverage Museum is in the Riverwalk at the Convention Center end, Convention Center Blvd. at Julia. See you there! © 2009 Tom Fitzmorris. All rights reserved. news@nomenu.com |
