Sunday Dinner Back, Too
Mr. B's Brunches Jazzily Again On Sundays

When Mr. B's Bistro reopened this spring after repairing heavy storm damage, the only thing missing was service on Sunday. Beginning this Sunday, that's back too.

Sunday brunch at Mr. B's was always one of the better ones. The menu includes both the restaurant's standard dishes and brunch classics like grillades and grits, oyster Rockefeller omelettes, and chicken Pontalba. All this is made in a contemporary style, while live jazz plays. Prices are in about the same range as other brunches around the French Quarter--high $20s to mid-$30s.

Brunch opens a little earlier than most: at 10:30 a.m. That might even get you to the Saints games on time, if you're hooked by that.

Sunday dinner is back, too, with the regular menu. With the best versions in town of chicken-andouille gumbo, barbecue shrimp, and bread pudding, Mr. B's is as essential a part of the New Orleans dining scene as any other restaurant I can think of. Nice to have them back as a full-time player.

I just published a review of Mr. B's, which can be read here.
