They need wait no longer. Vincent Riccobono unlocked the doors without telling anybody Wednesday, December 14. Still, it attracted a busy dining room. "We had flooding and a lot of damage," he said. "We did a complete renovation, the first time since we opened thirty years ago. I think people are going to be really impressed by what we did to the restaurant." The hours of operation are somewhat reduced, but the Peppermill will still be open longer hours than most restaurants. They're offering breakfast, lunch and dinner continuously Wednesdays through Sundays. They'll be closed Mondays and Tuesdays for now. Vincent also owns the Panola Street Cafe in the Carrollton section, which resumed its good breakfasts about a month and a half ago. The Peppermill is at 3524 Severn Ave. in Metairie. 455-2266. © 2005 Tom Fitzmorris. All rights reserved. news@nomenu.com |
