But more than a few of his regular customers bemoaned the loss of the marvelous lunch tapas menu, which he added about a year and a half ago. Not only was the lunch tapas delicious, but it was an almost insane bargain. Everything on it was between $4 and $8, and were served in well more than bites. You could spend about $20 and stuff yourself uncomfortably. The most outrageous example of this was the zarzuela, the Spanish equivalent of bouillabaisse. RioMar's version bids fair to be called the best example from any culture of that fish stew, with mussels, clams, fish and shrimp in a lusty, spicy broth. I can't get enough of the stuff. Also new to the menu is a collection of sherries to go with the food. Sherry is so far out of vogue that it's about ready to come back in again. Co-owner Nick Bazan found a few nice ones (all the real thing, from Jerez, Spain) and is serving them by the glass. The tapas and the sherry is available every weekday for lunch. 800 S.
