By Tom Fitzmorris Originally published January 28, 2008 The Weekend After Mardi Gras It's Chocolate Sunday Again Right before Valentine's Day every year for the past five, WYES-TV sets up a buffet that more than a few people wish were available somewhere year-round. It's almost all chocolate. Chocolate in every form, including a few that you might not have imagined, created by local chefs, patissieries, and chocolatiers. This year's choco-ganza is the Sunday after Mardi Gras, February 10, at Generations Hall, 310 Andrew Higgins Drive in the Warehouse District. It's not all candy and confections, but exotica like chicolate fountains and chocolate liqueurs. There'll be coffee and other beverages to help you keep your equilibrium throughout all this. Here is a list of about a third of the participants in the event: ![]() Andrea’s

Everyone else gets in at three, with the chocolate flowing until five, by which time even the most avid chocoholic should have a pretty strong buzz. The regular tickets sell for between $30 and $40, depending how soon and how many you buy. The money benefits the programming and facilites of Channel 12, New Orleans's public television station. You can buy tickets at . They're also on sale at Blue Frog Chocolates, 5707 Magazine Street. Note this counterintuitive rule: you must be over twenty-one to attend. © 2008 Tom Fitzmorris.
