By Tom Fitzmorris Originally published March 4, 2009 Just Started Before Hurricane, It Returns To Le Salon Windsor Court Brings Lunch Buffet Back Just before the hurricane, the Windsor Court Grill Room--which only occasionally had much in the way of lunch business, as good and beautiful as it is--mounted a buffet that I heard good things about constantly from readers and radio listeners. And from my wife, who loved it. Starting today (Wednesday, March 11), it's back. They serve it in Le Salon--the downstairs lounge-cafe used for the afternoon tea service. It will be served from 11:30 to 1:30 Monday through Friday, for $30--or $15, if you persuade someone that you're under thirteen. The best part of this is likely to the dessert section. The Windsor Court is one of very few hotels with a mahor baking department anymore. The pastry chefs there have been (and are again) among the city's most skillful.
