As reported here some time ago, the owners of Frankie and Johnnie's uptown bought Zeke's from the family of its namesake owner Zeke Unangst, who died tragically from a freak infection late last year. The restaurant opened last week, keeping the name and the essence of the menu--which is to say that it's still a casual seafood restaurant, with a complete supply of other New Orleans dishes that go with such a menu. If the premises were changed at all, it wasn't by much--but it was quite comfortable to begin with.  Good to have Zeke's back. I'll tell you how good in a month or so.
