Cooking Demo And Dinner At Zoë Bistrot

We have seen a bit of this at the cooking schools in the last couple of years, but the idea of packaging a cooking course with a dinner is catching on in some reastaurants around the country. Zoë Bistrot, the restaurant in the spiffy W Hotel on the corner of Poydras and Tchoupitoulas (across the street from Mother's), is the first place in New Orleans where I've seen the idea tried.

On September 15 (Friday), Chef Roberto Bustillo will prepare a  four-course dinner (the menu has not been revealed) in the dining room. And, as soon as he's finished, he'll pass a plate of whatever it was over to you. Meanwhile, the wine guy will pair a bottle with the dish, and go around pouring.

Sounds interesting to me. The price, inclusive of the wines and four courses, is $85. For reservations, call 207-5018.
