The Food Show

Weekdays 2–4 PM · 990 AM WGSO

New Orleans' longest-running food radio program. Mary Ann Fitzmorris takes your calls, reviews restaurants, shares recipes, and keeps the conversation about food alive every weekday afternoon.

About The Show

The Food Show has been a fixture of New Orleans radio since 1975. Broadcasting weekdays from 2 to 4 PM on 990 AM WGSO, the program is the longest-running food-focused radio show in America.

Now hosted by Mary Ann Fitzmorris, the show continues the tradition Tom Fitzmorris established over decades. Callers drive the conversation — questions about restaurants, cooking techniques, ingredient sourcing, recipes, and food history. The same conversation about food that New Orleanians have been having for over 30 years.

Over its history, the show has tracked every major shift in the New Orleans dining scene — the post-Katrina recovery, the arrival of national chains, the resurgence of neighborhood restaurants, and the continuing evolution of Creole cuisine.

If you've eaten anywhere in New Orleans recently and want to talk about it, call in. That's always been the whole point.

Hear It Live

990 AM WGSO broadcasts throughout the greater New Orleans area. You can also stream the show live on the WGSO website during broadcast hours.
