When Abita Beer became popular, the brewery moved to a larger facility and, leaving some brewing capacity in place, turned it original brewhouse into a cafe. Beer made on the premises (with the water for which Abita Springs is famous) is the featured beverage. The food is less predictable; the menu is constantly changing, but one wishes they would leave it alone for awhile and get the stuff right. The dining aspect of this place sometimes seems secondary to the service of beer.
