Anecdotes & Analysis
Chef Tee Somboon moved his kitchen from one tertiary location to another for years, but he seems to have found a home in this raffish old building at the foot of Esplanade. The style of Thai food you find here is elaborate; many (perhaps most) dishes are stuffed in one way or another. Where a chicken dish might elsewhere be served right on a plate, here they put it inside a baked acorn squash, for example. The food can be very good, but at times the Third World aspect of the place takes over and all systems crash.
